Does this really warrant a separate article? Couldn't this be merged to become a section within open source? --Lexor 09:25, 26 Oct 2003 (UTC)
- I think this is a worthwhile article. I've just fleshed it out a bit with more examples of liberated software packages, and an often forgotten note about Interbase's backdoor which was only discovered after the openning of it's code.
- One problem though, is that the article was "open source" centric. So to prevent someone from making a truly redundant article ("Liberation of software" or whatever), I've balance the terminology so FS & OS people can share this one.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.70.47.106 (talk • contribs) 00:00, 12 July 2004 (UTC)
