Formula help
[edit]I'm not a pro at entering formulae into wikipedia, and when I entered my second formula for the intensity of a polarized wave passing through a polaroid, I noticed it looks different than my other intensity formula. If anyone knows why and can/should fix it, please do so, I appreciate the help.JW 02:48, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Regarding the picture
[edit]It will be interesting to make a comparison between the same building through a polaroid filter and the building without the filter for better illustration of the polarization effect.89.136.41.31 (talk) 12:05, 29 August 2008 (UTC)Apass
Material cut for non-relevance
[edit]I've just trimmed the following material from the Applications section:
Polaroid is also used as a trade name for a variety of products sold by licensees of the Polaroid Corporation, including consumer electronics, sunglasses based on Polaroid polarisers, and instant-print photographic film and cameras. In February 2008, Polaroid announced that it is discontinuing production of its instant film and will close its factories in the United States, Mexico and the Netherlands.[1]
It really was irrelevant there, and there's already a link to the 'Polaroid' disambiguation page at the article top. --Kay Dekker (talk) 00:00, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
