Note: Though it states in the Guide to writing better articles that generally fictional articles should be written in present tense, all Tolkien legendarium-related articles that cover in-universe material before the current action must be written in past tense. Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Middle-earth/Standards for more information about this and other article standards.
It is inaccurate to say that LotR is a "novel", esp in this case, containing as it does material from Unfinished TAles, etc. I'm not even a Tolkein fan, at last not on this level, but that's why I reverted. Meelar19:12, 15 May 2004 (UTC)[reply]
"Celebrimbor, who is in love with Galadriel, remakes the jewel as her behest."
Is it not Celeborn (a Grey or Dark Elve) that is in love with Galadriel (Celeborn and Galadriel Lord and Lady of Lorien), and not Celebrimbor bearer of one of the three elven ring? --Lyndametref14:19, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Love triangle. Celeborn and Galadriel were married, but Celebrimbor was still in love with her. BTW, Celeborn was either a Grey Elf or Calaquendi depending on the text consulted and Celebrimbor was not just a 'bearer of one of the rings'. He was the primary creator of all the Rings of Power except the One, and the sole architect of the Three. --CBDunkerson16:05, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
