Fake Administrator
[edit]"Bobber1 is an a administrator and me, Bobber2, i'm an co-administrator."
. . . sigh. . . . Of course, thanks to your link, it's easy to discover that Bobber1 is not an administrator, and that you, Bobber2, are, of course, not a co-administrator. Whatever a "co-adminstrator" supposedly is. Really, I think you have a lot to offer Wikipedia, but I also think you need to be more careful with your edits, and read some of the pages suggested above to better understand the few rules and policies we have around here. Thank you. Soundguy99 23:50, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Your edits at Ed, Edd n Eddy
[edit]Ed, Edd n Eddy does take place in Peach Creek. I don't know if that's also the name of an actual place or not, but even if it is, I doubt it was intentional.
"The cursed phone episode was made before the Lemony Snicket movie came out." How is this trivia?
"Double D's middle name is Marion, not Miriam." It probably is Marion, but since that was put under Double D's info, it doesn't belong in the trivia section. Also, that sentence seems more like something to be said on the talk page.—Boarder8925 14:26, 16 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Not only that, cutting and pasting information from other sites is a violation of copyright. You should also know that individual episodes of television shows usually aren't notable on their own. If you have any other questions or need help, please leave word on my talk page. Thanks. - Lucky 6.9 17:27, 18 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Please do not delete comments from an article's "Talk" page. It is a serious violation of Wikiquette Soundguy99 13:51, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Hey, bub, I asked you nicely not to delete my comments from the article's talk page, but you went ahead and did it anyway, so I reverted it. Please. If you don't like what I have to say, either write a reply or fix the articles. see Wikipedia:civility and Wikipedia:Don't be a dick. Soundguy99 17:16, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Removing {{cleanup}} tag
[edit]I noticed you removed the cleanup tag from An Ed Is Born a couple times. It looks like the article has still needed significant cleanup in both instances (not wikified, no category, no wiki links). Please don't remove the cleanup tag until the article is up to wiki par. Feco 07:54, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Appending "(Still in Progress)"
[edit]Also in An Ed Is Born, I noticed you put "still in progress" in the body of the article. If you're actively editing an article, you can tag it {{inuse}} to prevent edit conflicts. However, it's good etiquette to do so only when you're actively editing somnething. If you plan to come back to an article later, don't use the inuse tag to "reserve" it. Feco 07:54, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Making comments in articles
[edit]Comments such as "We need a DVD with all episodes and holiday specials!" (which you just so happened to insert over at Ed, Edd n Eddy) are not encyclopedic. They belong on blogs and message boards, not Wikipedia. Bobber2, frickin' read this stuff!

How can you possibly think that an article which consists of nothing but a one-sentence quote is an encyclopedia article? I have also deleted the assertion from your User page that you're an admin, since you are not. RickK 23:03, Apr 28, 2005 (UTC)
Statue of Liberty/List of movie appearances
[edit]List of movie appearances sections are nice--they really tie famous places in with popular culture. The one for the Statue of Liberty though, was so long that it was overwhelming the page. I moved it to a subpage: Statue of Liberty/List of movie appearances.
Better to move it to a subpage then have someone complain that it's "in the way" and try to delete it. The Statue of Liberty is a cultural icon, so having a separate list of movie appearances for it makes sense.
Nice formatting on the list table, by the way. Very professional.

You're becoming more than annoying
[edit]DO NOT strip Votes for Deletion headers from listed articles. It's also considered bad to move a page while it's still being voted on. And quit slapping "protected" on pages which you do not have authority to protect. RickK 19:31, Apr 29, 2005 (UTC)
I have now blocked you from editing for 24 hours. You went and deleted the VfD header after I told you that it was an inappropriate thing to do. When you come back, please learn how to be a productive member of the community, or you'll get blocked again. You might start by responding to the messages people put on your Talk page. Hitchhiker's Movie
[edit]Your edit on 16:00, 28 Apr 2005 at The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (movie) consists mostly of text from a movie review at [1]. Can you demonstrate that you have the right to republish it? If not, I will have to remove it from the article. Ubermonkey 16:56, 9 May 2005 (UTC)
- It's actually text from Touchstone Picture's publicity material for the H2G2 movie, which is available in PDF form on the Internet (Thank you Google!). Because of Touchstone's copyright (and I really don't think we want to get into a Copyright fight with a division of Disney, do we?) I removed ALL of the offending material from the H2G2 movie article. --JohnDBuell 22:02, 14 May 2005 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
