Hey Jpo, I just wanted to let you know that I posted a cropped version of the Cerro de la Silla picture on FPC, and am wondering if you would still support it. Thanks alot! --Spangineer 00:12, Jan 24, 2005 (UTC)

ITN clutter

[edit]

Hello, Jpo. I'm not aware of the discussion on the removal of the "clutter" at the bottom of ITN. I have no preference either way. I restored those links because User:Berti asked about them at Talk: Main Page earlier today. ... Come to think of it, (s)he might be just asking for the link to 'Recent deaths', but not those links for the various regional current events.... I need to go offline now, but I can remove them later. Shall I take off the whole set, or shall I leave the links to 'Recent deaths' etc. there ? If you are an admin and want them out ASAP, please feel free to do it yourself. Be Bold. :-) Regards, -- PFHLai 15:08, 2005 Mar 2 (UTC)

Neutrality has taken that out for us. -- PFHLai 01:23, 2005 Mar 3 (UTC)

Oil Price Graph

[edit]

Can you place the price of oil on a logarithmic scale to properly visualize the change in price. Thanks.

Any chance you could update the oil price graph to reflect the latest increases ($90.07/barrel), or point me to a tutorial on how to upload the relevant images so I can? (the above comment is someone else)B.dewhirst 13:36, 25 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, what program did you use to make the price graph (1994-2007)? I tried using Open Office to update the graph to today's prices, but it doesn't look very slick. Any pointers? NJGW (talk) 20:59, 10 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hello from me too. This is to let you know I have created a short chart of LS crude oil prices from 2005 to November 2008. I wrote more details on Dikteren's talk page. I used Gnumeric to produce the mini-chart, importing data from the same source as yours: http://octane.nmt.edu/gotech/Main.aspx . If anyone has the full dataset from 1994 I, or anyone else really, could update the full chart. 84user (talk) 18:43, 3 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Sagamore Bridge.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sagamore Bridge.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. cohesion 05:07, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A Barnstar for you!

[edit]
The Working Wikipedian's Barnstar
I noticed that your efforts in providing updated tables for Gasoline usage and pricing has meant monthly updates. With the recent jump in prices, your page will likely get more popular. Thanks for keeping things up to date! CodeCarpenter 20:34, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Dialect continuum

[edit]

I see that you called for a citation at the end of the paragraph linking Dalmatian with Istro-Romanian. I might be able to help here but tell me first, precisely which point were you raising? Was it the fact that Istro-Romanian stood close to Dalmatian and hence formed a single continuum? Or are you questioning their differences by believing them to be closely linked where-by you seek a source to confirm their distance? Evlekis (talk) 12:45, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oil price update

[edit]

Hi. You did work pertaining to the file Image:Oil Prices Medium Term.png. I have uploaded a new image to the Wikipedia Commons Image:WTI price 96 09.PNG that is close enough to fully replace it. My work is done by simple MS Excel and Paint. Leave me a note if you want to collaborate in some way (I'm open to sharing my Excel file to improve maintainability). And aside from keeping it up, many different derivatives could be useful from the data source.

I might cross post this to some other user's talk pages. -Theanphibian (talkcontribs) 05:32, 2 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: File:Oil Prices Medium Term.png

File:Oil Prices Medium Term.png is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Oil Prices Medium Term.png. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 23:14, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Can we get an updated graph for gas prices?

[edit]

This is the current graph. I can't believe that the highest gas prices ever are not here. This is three years out of date.
