Confusing
[edit]this is a bit confusing as to whether it is worn by the transportee or the transporter? unsigned by 220.236.244.231 (talk) at 06:28, 21 December 2004
Needs editing by a subject matter expert
[edit]I have noticed issues with the text that look like cut-and-paste errors and lack of editing. Nevertheless, I found the article useful when I came across a mention of the item and wondered what it was.
- A Gait Belt is an item worn by someone who has problems moving. A nurse or assistant will place two fingers under the belt, and assist the movement of the patient. This is commonly used for 'transfer', moving the patient to roll over on the bed (while the sheets are being changed), from standing/lying to a wheelchair, or simply to help balance while walking. Article is a mishmash of borrowed stuff from a manufacturer
[edit]How about an IMAGE? And maybe some history, please. Don't just jump into the middle of the article. This article needs a head, a body, and a tail.--Quisqualis (talk) 05:59, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
This article is written like a manual or guidebook. (August 2016)
[edit]This is an invitation to check whether my recent edits have corrected the condition mentioned in this section headline, and to remove the template that gives the warning message. Thanks--Quisqualis (talk) 20:08, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- It no longer reads like a manual. The main problem at the moment is the lack of sources. PriceDL (talk) 20:39, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- Is there any editor who can remove the templates that give the warning messages
about neutrality, manual, and a couple others?--Quisqualis (talk) 20:55, 19 April 2017 (UTC)
- It was extremely easy. I did it myself: highlight and delete the 4 yellow text lines no longer needed, in edit mode.--Quisqualis (talk) 09:55, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
