Needa entry
[edit]Why isn't the info on Captain Needa visible? --B-101 19:01, 6 May 2005 (UTC)
- It is!! See under 'Needa, Lorth'
Needa's entry seems overly detailed. The first paragraph is nearly unrelated. 132.161.221.37 00:24, 24 October 2007 (UTC)
Clean up
[edit]I removed tons of excessive links and fixed some poorly written text. --Imperialles 08:20, 16 May 2005 (UTC)
Skywalker, Luuke
[edit]What is this nonsense? Luke Skywalker never had a clone. --→ JarlaxleArtemis 23:02, Jun 7, 2005 (UTC)
- Knock off the cursing!! If you bothered to check, you'd know that Luuke Skywalker is from Timothy Zahn's book The Last Command, third in the Thrawn trilogy. See here for an example. --maru 23:18, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Admiral Sarn
[edit]According to his rank badge and code cylinders, Sarn is a Lt. Cmdr, not an Admiral. It's been a long time since I played the game, was he directly addressed as Admiral?

Species: Sith?
[edit]Naga Sadow's species is listed as Sith, but is it a species?
- Indeed, it is. The Sith were originally a race of red skinned aliens. They were conquered (more or less) by a group of Dark Jedi (the first group of Dark Jedi ever, apparently) that had been expelled from Old Republic space by the Jedi. Eventually the Sith (who saw and treated the DJ's as gods) and Dark Jedi interbred and you ended up with weird red skinned hybrids with tentacle like "beards" on their chins. Future Dark Jedi used the named Sith and it soon became associated with them.--Kross 14:05, Jun 13, 2005 (UTC)

Note to anyone intending on splitting off a section
[edit]This page has been processed by N-Bot, which, for browsing convenience, changes links to redirects to lists to links to the relevant list sections: e.g. [[Captain Needa]] is changed to [[List of minor Star Wars villains#Needa, Lorth|Captain Needa]].
As a result, anyone who intends to split a section out of this page should be aware that, as of 8 August 2005, the following sections were linked to from the following pages:
- Needa, Lorth: Cloaking device, TIE bomber, Darth Vader, Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Imperial Death Squadron, General Grievous, Grand Army of the Republic, Battle of Coruscant, List of changes in Star Wars re-releases, List of major Star Wars deaths
- Xizor: Dates in Star Wars, Expanded Universe (Star Wars), List of Star Wars characters, Gynoid, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, List of Star Wars races, Palpatine, List of minor Star Wars organizations, Guri (Star Wars), List of Star Wars planets (E-G)
- Skywalker, Luuke: Luke Skywalker, Expanded Universe (Star Wars), Joruus C'Baoth
- Karath, Saul : Taris, Leviathan (disambiguation), Mandalorian War
- Desann: Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Lightsaber, Kyle Katarn, List of minor Star Wars villains, Tavion, Jedi Academy, Jan Ors, Valley of the Jedi, Force powers, Reelo Baruk, Reborns
- Gorc: Lightsaber, Kyle Katarn, 8t88
- Boc: Poljcane, Kyle Katarn, Great Jedi Purge
- Sariss: Lightsaber, Kyle Katarn, Great Jedi Purge, List of minor Star Wars villains, Jerec
- Admiral Sarn: Phantom TIE, Force (Star Wars), List of Star Wars Imperial personnel

Name order
[edit]Would anyone be opposed to continuing to sort alphabetically by last name, but naming the sections in a "First Last" format, rather than "Last, First"? – Mipadi 17:47, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
Xizor? Minor?
[edit]How is Xizor considered a minor villain? I mean, for a villain who is the third most powerful being in the galaxy, who tried to overthrow Vader and kill Luke Skywalker, and suggested that the plans for the second death star be leaked out to the rebels, I think he deserves his own page for that. The Wookieepedian 19:30, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
- I think he'd be considered minor since he's not that well-known outside the Star Wars universe, unlike a character such as Darth Vader, Palpatine, or Boba Fett. – Mipadi 22:13, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
- Then why does Grand Admiral Thrawn get his own page? I forgot to mention that above. The Wookieepedian 23:53, 18 January 2006 (UTC)
- Well, in terms of Star Wars, he is probably a more important villain; but I'd hazard a guess that someone just gave him his own article without analyzing his importance outside of the realm of Star Wars. There are a lot of Star Wars characters, including Kell Tainer and Gara Petothel, that have their own article, even though they probably really shouldn't. – Mipadi 03:18, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
- Well, then I propose we merge those with this article, in that case. The Wookieepedian 00:58, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- Yeh I recently merged several minor characters to these lists. I think to count as major you need to be in several book series. That is why Corran Horn is major and Xizor is minor. Jedi6 04:13, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
- The Kell Tainer merge is underway—I'm actually going to do that soon, probably (although someone can jump ahead and do it for me). Gara Petothel could easily be merged into Wraith Squadron with the other Wraith Squadron characters, too. – Mipadi 05:24, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
Drop Zsinj
[edit]I think that we can drop Zsinj from this page, since he has his own article, and didn't even exist here until very recently. – Mipadi 06:54, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
Yun?
[edit]There is a line in Yun's biography after telling of his death that says "When he reached his majority..." I thought it meant "When he reached his maturity" but it doesn't seem to be a typo...so what the hell does it mean? If that is a typo, that person should never be allowed near a keyboard.
Admiral Motti
[edit]I believe that Admiral Motti had a large enough role in A new hope to deserve his own page. What do you say? --Dominik92 02:15, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think his role was large enough to warrant his own page. We really only see him once, and his role is a fairly minor one in comparison to Grand Moff Tarkin or Wicket W. Warrick. He doesn't contribute too much to the movies apart from an opportunity to display Vader's abilities for the first time. Arwen Undomiel talk 02:43, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Gizor dellso.jpg
[edit]Image:Gizor dellso.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

...is an article that currently overlaps with this one; for example, Rom Mohc appears on both lists. I'm not sure exactly what to do about it, since there *are* some characters who are Imperials but not villains. (Also, there are definitely some serious problems with notability standards here, since listing every character who's ever caused trouble for a protagonist in a licensed SW story would probably make the page megabytes long, but I'm not sure what to do about that either.) --DocumentN 03:02, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- Also, although it's not a full solution, I think there might be enough material to split off a "Characters in the Dark Forces series" article for people who want to edit that. --DocumentN 03:05, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
names of the main article
[edit]Why are the names of the characters written so strange like Fyarr, Galak? Can't they edit the names normal? Volkov talk 23:49, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Revamp
[edit]I'm working on amalgamating this and all the other god-awful lists at Category:Lists_of_Star_Wars_characters to remove all the ORish and arbitrary topics (i.e. what makes a character a "villain"? what if he/she later is "good"?) and repetition (e.g. Leia shows up on several of them). Once I've squished them together, they can be broken up just alphabetically like the slightly-less-crappy Star Trek character lists. I've copy-and-pasted these lists as of ~11:30EST 3 Oct -- if you make any additions to this list, I'll try to be sure to maintain them in the reworked version, but please be mindful that something might accidentally be overlooked. Thanks! --EEMIV (talk) 15:40, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
Redirect
[edit]I plan on Monday to replace the current content of List of Star Wars characters with the material at User:EEMIV/StarWarsCharacters, and then to redirect this page to that updated list. Much of the content on this page will go away -- for the better. Wikipedia is an indiscriminate collection of information, even on its list pages, and many of the entries were are truly insignificant characters. If you take exception to this plan, please say so here. --EEMIV (talk) 11:20, 9 October 2008 (UTC)
