His brother Swaminathan Aiyar,Editor of Economic Times is a brilliant journalist with integrity and merits a seperate article.
temporary update
[edit]Pardon the crude format of the updates...i will do it in a proper fashion next week, when i am relatively free-er. BTW, can someone please get my additions into proper html format...i dont know how to link things up... I will add the linkable parts of my section in a while... Also, if anyone has a problem with the matter, i am open for discussion here.

Let the biography stay as such
[edit]As wiki is a information base, let there be information about Mani too. You may dislike him but he is a elected MP and a leader.
The new living-bio rules are quite stringent. There's a link to them at the top of this talkpage. I've removed whatever's uncited from the controversies section, although some of it I know is true. As and when I can find citations for some of the more relevant stories, I'll put them back in. Meanwhile, here's the diff [1]. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Hornplease (talk • contribs) .
Seems Wikipedia used to assault at individual
[edit]Personal opinions are highlighted more than the actuals, thats what I feel on the way a the details are provided by the members in this section in particular. Many a times the articles appering on the news paper/portals are referred and a care is being taken to project only the bit of comments which degrades an individual. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Asprakash (talk • contribs) .
I really do not feel you are making a fair representation. For reasons best known to yourself, you have been trying to promote Aiyar which is being curtailed now.You tended to insert pejorative terms like "brilliant","well educated"etc. Moreover you have been inserting unsigned comments. You have in this very article used speculative statements like"may be true"!If anything I feel the article has been more than fair to Aiyar and I do not feel on ehas to take umbrage when his propensity to create waves in highlighted.I am a Tamil myself as I have said(and an Iyer) and am justifiably proud of the contributions Tamils(Iyers,Aiyangara and non-Brahmins) have made to India! Can anyone ever imaging Rajagopalachariar resorting to the language Aiyar does-or for that matter Radhakrishnan. The always presented themselves in an etiquetted and distinguished manner.Even his Tamil colleague Chidambaram is a picture of decorum, agree or disagree with him!As far as I am concerned Aiyar's conduct goes against the grain of Tamil humility!Every incident mentioned is fully referenced and if you feel there is a lop sided slant please present evidence.(Vr 10:10, 26 September 2006 (UTC))
Recent additions
[edit]You may have misunderstood. Please note I have no objection to the wikilink; of course, I meant the actual reference was a rather vicious blog post. Hornplease 13:52, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
This article has become a place to curse Aiyar
[edit]Any politician will have some controversies in his/her public life. This article has been dedicated to curse Aiyar and depromote his skills. I am worried, Wiki should not become Dmoz with no takers. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Asprakash (talk • contribs) 18:24, 12 January 2007 (UTC).
Aiyar's period as petroleum minister
[edit]Aiyar's period as petroleum minister does not get as much as a mention in this article. Someone with proper sources as to exactly when he held this position should add this to the article. In general his career and work life seems to be very poorly covered. Esben Agersnap 05:55, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
