- I am not saying that Britannica is the be-all and end-all authority but if you read it here or look it up in the actual encyclopedia the article on automatism is only on surrealist automatism and then there is an article on mediumistic automatism and there is nothing about the legal theory of automatism at all. This is just one example but I have yet to hear any real justification for mentioning the legal theory first and not vice versa. --user:Daniel C. Boyer

[edit]It is not clear to me that this area of pseudoscience is referred to as "automatism" typically. I have checked a half dozen references to confirm this.--Filll (talk | wpc) 21:34, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
