No sources, lots of speculation and bias (e.g. "...she was an akward-looking child. At the age of seventeen, she had plastic surgery to shrink her nose and remove the dark rings under her eyes."

I don't have any suggestions on where to find this information, but it sounds as if it was copied from a tabloid (unsourced statements like, "Christina always knew..." or "Roussel...insisted Christina stay thing..")

Uses passive language to imply a source when there is none: "Experts say that her premature death was caused by constant prescription drug abuse and dramatic changes in weight."

"Some say that she died from taking dangerous slimming drugs, others suggest it was too many sleeping pills."

I've checked some books out of the library that have Christina in the index (amazing how many books even a small American library has on Jackie). RJFJR 01:12, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Quantum error correction has been listed on cleanup for about a year. It needs some minor cleanup, and expert attention to make it readable for non-experts. Kerowyn 00:25, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

This subpage is for requesting opinion on what needs to done to cleanup a taskforce article including whether it is ready to be closed.

Interested members can add {{Wikipedia:Cleanup Taskforce/Evaluation, Comments and Closing}} to their desks to place this page on it.

Comments can go on either the article subpage or this page (in which case they will be moved to the subpage peridoically).

Articles to evaluate (task force subpage and article link)

[edit]
  • A simple read of the article will demonstrate why it needs to be cleaned up, particularlar the latter portion of the second part of the article user:64.236.170.4
  • Tagged as stub in both sociology and culture. RJFJR 15:26, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
  • It has a POV tag on it. RJFJR 15:26, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
  • The POV tags keeps being removed, while the POV problem seems to remain. Bergsten 18:47, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
  • Yup, POV and poor grammar. This article actually concerns things that interest me, but how to clean it up effectively is beyond me. I think it may be a deletion candidate. --Marnen Laibow-Koser (talk) (desk) 05:49, 4 November 2005 (UTC)
  • I think the grammer can be dealt with. I may take this up.Eagle (talk) (desk)21:31, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
  • I did a lot of low-level rewriting. If someone feels the need to remove any templates, then by all means, do so. AnonMoos 22:44, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
  • Thank you. You really helped with the NPOV problem

Why has no one contacted the Disciplinary Wives Club to get input? They are the most credible and reliable group on the Internet as far as Domestic Discipline with women leading.

This article is very badly written, can't someone rescue it? And what is with the Canadian bent? Hardly relevant to an article on someone who was an icon in Britain at the height of her fame.

I have made some changes to this article, but I don't really know enough about the subject. ARe there any other suggestions about ways of improving it? Thanks a lot. --Heidijane 10:50, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Can't tell if this is considered done. This page was blanked so that may have been an attempt to close it. I'm going to assign it and ask for an opinion on its completeness (from someone with an interest in wikifying).

I have just done a major clean-up of the criticism section, and was wondering if a removal was in order. Haemo 09:22, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

Again, I have updated this section again - it now, by and large, conforms to WP:STYLE. Asking if it should be removed from this page, once again. --Haemo 08:34, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Okay, I'm removing this. If you object, at a later date, feel free to re-add it. --Haemo 05:33, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Meta refresh

[edit]

Initial tasks:

  • Go through all the open Cleanup Taskforce issues.
  • Find issues that are waiting for double-checking to be closed; double-check them and close as appropriate.
  • Find isses that have not been touched for 30 days or more, and reassign them to a different taskforce member. (Preferably someone who has expressed interest in the subject, has room on their queue, and is an active editor.)

Updates:

  • Initial assignment to User:Randy_Johnston/Desk. -- Beland 03:15, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
  • I completed Round 1 of the meta refresh by removing all entries that were submitted before May from the main page and moving it to the closed page that I thought have made a significant improvement since they were submitted. I also changed the templates on the talk pages to the closed mode. --Randy 02:21, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)
  • Round 2 and 3 completed by properly closing items that were completed through May. Also, the main WP:TASK page was cleaned and not necessary things were removed. All of the items submitted before May 15th still need to be given to another user's desk. Randy Johnston 19:29, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)
  • Passing on to User:Linuxbeak/Desk. Please try to get all tasks submitted before June either completed or deemed closed. Thanks! We seem to have some members who have just forgot about their CT duties. --Randy 22:02, 9 July 2005 (UTC)
  • I have just closed everything that was finished in April, May, or June, and left notes on people's talk pages where they haven't done anything in over 30 days. After a reasonable amount of time, if people don't respond to personal messages, they can be marked as inactive members and their tasks reassigned. -- Beland 06:37, 7 August 2005 (UTC)

Assignment backlog

[edit]

There is now a backlog of articles to be assigned. I started in on them, but I have a lot of things on my plate at the moment, and I could use some help. The first to be assigned should probably be the ones already listed here. But it's worth noting that there are 618 articles under Category:Cleanup by month from 2004 alone, which is more than enough to fill everyone's desk to capacity. I think it would actually be a good idea to do that. The fact that some people don't have anything to work on probably means we are losing out on harnessing their volunteer energy.

    • Did a little work a while ago. Removing from my desk as I can't devote enough time to this project. - Trevor MacInnis(Talk | Contribs) 15:25, 26 September 2005 (UTC)

mid-October

[edit]

There is no longer much of a backlog of tasks needing to be assigned, but we have been working on some tasks for rather a long time. I think it is worth keeping this meta-task open so that we can avoid the development of a big queue and keep things moving along.

I don't think it is sensible to keep this task on any desk for so long so I am assigning it to User:RJFJR's desk - but would be happy to take it back at a later date if needed. As of now this task is therfore on the desks of User:Tony Sidaway and User:RJFJR. Have fun! Andreww 05:35, 16 October 2005 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Cleanup Taskforce/Members

[edit]

Are you actually active and awaiting assignments? There are many open and assigned tasks that have stagnated. It would be sensible to reassign these to active members of the cleanup taskforce, but it is not immediately clear who these people might be.

If you are not active, please consider removing your details from the members lists. Otherwise, please add yourself to the following list (edit here). If you are currently assigned a task that you do not wish to (or can not) complete, please remove it from your desk and add it to this list.
