It is worth noting that only one of the articles (the 1918 election) goes wider than what is now the Republic of Ireland. --Henrygb 22:25, 23 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Please do not delete this page yet. I have revisited the issue on the deletion page. There is a major problem with the Category:Elections in the Republic of Ireland. The Republic of Ireland only exists since 1949. Unless we create 8 categories to cover all the various name changes what is how the Republic of Ireland has undergone, including 6 in the twentieth century, we will have to use 'Ireland' as a point to link all elections, and avoid specific names like Irish Republic, Irish Free State, Éire, Republic of Ireland etc. FearÉIREANN 20:10, 30 Apr 2005 (UTC)
