List of mayors of Trois-Rivières

The mayor is the highest elected official in Trois-Rivières, in the Mauricie region of Quebec. Since its incorporation in 1845, the city has had thirty-six mayors.

The mayor presides over the Trois-Rivières City Council.

  9. ^ Mailhot was the Conservative Member of the legislature for the district of Trois-Rivières from 1871 to 1876.
  10. ^ Panneton ran as a Conservative candidate for the district of Three Rivers and St. Maurice against incumbent MP Jacques Bureau in 1900 and in 1908. Each time he lost.

  12. ^ Olivier ran as a Conservative candidate for the district of Trois-Rivières against incumbent MLA Arthur Turcotte in 1886 and in 1888. Each time he lost.
  13. ^ Nérée Duplessis was the Conservative Member of the legislature for the district of Saint-Maurice from 1886 to 1900. He also ran as a Conservative candidate for the district of Three Rivers and St. Maurice against incumbent MP Jacques Bureau in 1904, but lost.
  14. ^ L.-P. Normand ran as the Conservative candidate for the district of Three Rivers and St. Maurice against incumbent MP Jacques Bureau in 1911 and in 1921. Each time he lost.
  15. ^ Tessier was the Liberal Member of the legislature for the district of Trois-Rivières from 1904 to 1921.
  16. ^ Bettez was the Liberal Member of Parliament for the district of Three Rivers and St. Maurice from 1925 to 1931.
  17. ^ Mongrain ran as the Liberal candidate for the district of Trois-Rivières against Premier and incumbent MLA Maurice Duplessis in 1952. He lost. He also ran in the district of Champlain in the 1960 provincial election. He was defeated by incumbent Maurice Bellemare.
  18. ^ The name of the Mayor of Shawinigan during the same period was also Gérard Dufresne.
  19. ^ Leblanc ran as the Liberal candidate for the district of Trois-Rivières against Cabinet Member and incumbent MNA Guy Julien in 1998. He lost.
