Goa
[edit]I'd replied on the Goa talk page. =Nichalp «Talk»= 06:16, July 14, 2005 (UTC)
- Hi! I'd guessed you would be knowing FN as a linux user group member. You had removed a full paragraph from Goa's history leading to a vacumn in the timeline. I had to revert to maintain continuum. As for the Eurasion population, you can discuss it with User:PedroPVZ. It is plausible that the Portuguese intermarried with the locals; See Gonsalo Garcia. But the size is a question mark. Is it possible exact figures can be obtained? Thanks. =Nichalp «Talk»= 06:39, July 14, 2005 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Gmrt.gif
[edit]This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Gmrt.gif. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 13:57, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
Your POTY vote
[edit]POTY vote
[edit]Hello. Thank you for your interest in the 2006 Picture of the Year contest. To vote, you must be an established Wiki editor with at least 100 edits registered either on your Commons or on your home wiki account (eg on one of the Wikipedia sites). You don't have 100 edits on your Commons account, but if you do on your home wiki, please add a diff pointing to a statement on your home wiki talk page which confirms your identity. For example: [http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk%3ABryan_Tong_Minh&diff=103243817&oldid=100712171 diff]
which appears as
diff. You should add this diff on the same line as your vote, at Commons:Picture of the Year/2006/Voting phase 1. Thank you! If you have any questions, you can ask at Commons talk:Picture of the Year/2006.
You have not provided a proper diff, I'm afraid. Please ask if you need help --MichaelMaggs 16:16, 2 February 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Goldflake.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Goldflake.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 03:58, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Haldi Kumkum
[edit]I have nominated Haldi Kumkum, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Haldi Kumkum. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

NowCommons: File:Shaniwarwada.jpg
[edit]File:Shaniwarwada.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Pune fort.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Pune fort.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 21:28, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Goldflake.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Goldflake.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk 03:51, 10 September 2010 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for May 31
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Fenny, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sprite (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:13, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of You Broadband
[edit]The article You Broadband has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No indication of notability, no significant coverage in reliable sources, tagged for over a year without improvement. Unduly promotional tone.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Huon (talk) 16:17, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
