Now biased against Quinn
[edit]"Although Quinn won the 1963 Memorial Cup as a junior with the Edmonton Oil Kings, he had a terrible professional career. He was known more for his weakness than his skill, particularly for a thundering open-ice body check against himself in the 1969 Stanley Cup playoffs between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Boston Bruins which left him unconscious and provoked not only a bench-clearing brawl, but a suspension for Quinn."
I'm assuming this is referring to his infamous hit on Bobby Orr - "body check against himself" - this just sounds ridiculous. And I dont think anyone who played over 600 games in the NHL could be accused of having a "terrible professional career." This needs a rewrite, preferably not by a Bobby Orr fanboy.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.119.167.101 (talk)
Other Pat Quinns
[edit]I'm moving this to Pat Quinn (hockey) because the Pat Quinn (politician) is getting to be an important figure with the Blagojevich indictment, etc. If I can figure out how... Jeremymerrill502 (talk) 19:00, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
So... wikipedia hates me. could someone with moving privileges move this? Plzkthx. Considering how high Pat Quinn, the politician, is showing up on Google Trends, he ought to be the default Pat Quinn, or at least the Pat Quinn default should be the disambiguation page. Is someone going to try to maintain the "total games won" number?
[edit]It says Quinn is the winningest active NHL coach, "4th of all time with 616 wins". Now that he's active again, and assuming his new team (Oilers) will win one or more games, "616" is going to be obsolete. Any update is also going to be obsolete quickly. Is someone going to try to keep it current? For ease of maintenance, isn't it the kind of stat that should be omitted? Kkken (talk) 08:28, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
